Vardehaugen & Their Picturesque Winter Cabin
When you think of a cabin, what do you picture? Chances are it’s not Vardehaugen’s stunning compact version of the classic winter abode. The Norwegian architecture firm designed the 180 square foot Vindheim Cabin to blend into its snowy landscape. The roof slopes down the ground, doubling as a ski or sledding slope. There’s even a skylight in the main bedroom for star gazing. I know it’s not winter any longer, but I can’t ignore this space! Note the lovely contrast between the stark black exterior and the light wood floors. I wonder if they take vacation guests?
