One of Louis Kahn’s famous homes, The Norman Fisher House, was up for sale for the first time this summer. And for a mere $600,000! How amazing would it be to live here?
While some argue Kahn’s aesthetics felt too cold and lifeless to translate into domestic structures- The Fisher house is very livable. The interconnected cubes and large windows allow the landscape to peek inside. The juxtaposition of concrete, wood, stone and natural landscape is gorgeous.
The home was gifted by the owner, Norman Fisher, to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, who will act as the caretaker of its architectural and historical legacy.
