hey all,
if you follow me on twitter you might have noticed the lack of activity followed by a short rant… but i just gotta say a few things on my poor neglected blog.
yes, i’ve posted plenty of images without crediting the original source. that makes me feel like an ass. i always do my best to find the original link, but with tools like evernote and tineye, it is just not acceptable anymore. and i think issues like this are contributing to the blogging rut i’m in.
anyone who creates things for a living knows how much work goes into it. i’m a designer who works with other creatives: writers, photographers, stylists, art directors, event planners, illustrators, and those people who are (somehow) able to be all of those things. the point is, they work really, really hard. and it sucks when you don’t get credit for it, especially when thousands and thousands of people are being exposed to your work.
i’m hoping that this effort makes blogging a more rewarding experience for me, personally. I’m still finding myself disenchanted with all the sameness. so let’s make this blog a richer experience for us all. thanks for those of you who have been sticking it out with me as i figure out how to use this outlet. you guys rock.
xo,
