Palette of the Moment: Pale Pinks and Powdery Blues

I actually gasped when I saw these photos. Pale pinks and powdery blues are quickly becoming everybody’s favorite palette, but it takes a ton of skill and restraint to activate it in decor. When in doubt, solid colors in varying textures help modernize a palette that was hot in the 90s. I love the way sleek materials (wood and black powder coated steel) contrast the ornate crown molding and bold lighting. It brings drama and richness to this soft and sweet color mix. This room is totally inspiring our master bedroom design.

That mauve color is my jam. It’s the color that is in every bit of my life. I love the idea of pairing it with blue–never thought of that!

Love those big windows on the side in first picture! Plus the color palette reminds of grown up pink and blue!
