Bring the Bohemian Trend Into Your Home & Closet

Whenever I see a beautiful bohemian room or a carefree spirit embracing this off-beat style, I’m totally inspired by the attitude and ease of it all. I tend to lean towards a more tailored and structured decor and fashion sense, but that doesn’t mean a couple natural accents can’t be worked into my house and wardrobe. While I’ll never go full-fledged boho, there are some ways to mix in some new boho pieces with your current decor without losing your identity.

The easiest way to bring some of the bohemian flare into your home is to add a brightly-colored, patterned rug. They work well in the kitchen, living room, or bathroom. A runner for your stairs wouldn’t be too bad either!

H&M – Patterned Rug – Charcoal gray • H&M • $29.99
ecarpetgallery Hand Woven Qashqai Wool Kilim Rug • $495
Loloi x Justina Blakeney Fable Rug $495
ecarpetgallery Hand Woven Qashqai Wool Kilim Rug • $609

The pouf and boho style are synonymous. I like them in a printed or plant fiber, but if you’re looking to shake things up, look for a modern take, like this gorgeous beauty from Moss Studio Park. Coordinate with some fun pillows in similar tones and you’re all set.

ecarpetgallery Hand Woven Qashqai Wool Kilim Rug • $609
Surya Denali Pouf, Ivory/Chocolate • Surya • $365
Moss Studio Park Pouf, Raspberry/Gold • $999
Surya Trenza Cube Pouf, Cobalt Chenille • Surya • $285

House plants in macrame holders, on shelves, or in metal stands are best in groups! Keep it easy with succulents and air plants if you’ve got a black thumb.

Assembly Home Eos Hanging Planter • Urban Outfitters • $39
UMA Blue Iron Plant Stands – Set of 3 • $79.97
Iris Planter + Chevron Stand • West Elm • $99–174
Boyce Studio – Modern Wood Air Plant or Succulent Planter • $75

Woven baskets are one of my own boho staples. Use them as magazine storage, plant holders, or spare toilet paper stashes. Anything goes!

Large White Round Piper Tote Basket with Lid • $39.99
H&M – Large Wire Basket – Copper-colored • H&M • $24.99
Indego Africa Neon Marrakech Basket • $66
“Rwanda Skies Raffia and Sweet Grass Round Basket” • $55.99

Suede is in, so take advantage! Mix a saddle brown suede skirt or pants into your rotation with a blush or nude top. Modern bohemian perfection.

SAINT LAURENT Cassandre monogram small suede cross-body bag • Saint Laurent • $1,644
Aquazzura Belgravia Suede Espadrilles • Aquazzura • $495
Exclusive for Intermix Tie Waist Goat Suede Shorts • Exclusive for Intermix • $99
Stuart Weitzman Nearlynude Suede Sandals • Stuart Weitzman • $395

Break out whatever fringe you have while you can. A full-on poncho isn’t necessary but a fringed bag or light jacket can do wonders. A little goes a long way.

Acne Studios Fringed Wool Wrap • Acne Studios • $380
Karl Lagerfeld Fringed Piqué Mini Skirt • Karl Lagerfeld • $365
Missoni Mare Fringed Crochet-Knit Triangle Bikini • Missoni • $530
3X1 WM3 Straight Cropped Mid Rise Fringed Jeans • 3×1 • $295

A bell sleeve top or dress make even the most tailored dress a little more whimsical. The wider the sleeves, the better.

Cozy Bell Sleeve Top • $128
Tularosa Jolle Dress • Tularosa • $72
Emma Bell Sleeved Tunic Dress • $159.99
Rosie Assoulin bell sleeve cropped top • Rosie Assoulin • $795
Bell Sleeve Top • $49.49
Suno White Cotton Bell Sleeved Tunic • Suno • $395

Embrace your inner free spirit with flowy, wide-leg pants. They work on the beach with a bikini or on the weekend with a tee. Bare feet and raffia bag are optional!

Monse Striped Duchesse Silk-Satin Wide-Leg Pants • $1,995
TOME Belted Cotton-Poplin Wide-Leg Pants • Tome • $595
APIECE APART Taiyana Slub Woven Wide-Leg Pants • Apiece Apart • $380
Comme des Garçons Comme des Garçons Polka-Dot Linen Wide-Leg Pants • Comme des Garcons • $500

Lovely boho vibe & production selection! Do you have a source for the console in the “Pouf” pic? I’ve been looking for something similar for my family room!
