If a good rug can really make a room, then two just might be able to transform it! Layered rugs popped on my radar this year and I’ve been playing around with them in the studio. Putting two or three on top of one another in your living room or bedroom really has a way of adding coziness and personality to a room. Large area rugs can cost more than a mortgage, so naturally, the layered rug solution is a cheaper way to fill a larger space. Start small with a few accent rugs and then go big with giant area rugs if you really love the look. 1. Try layering a vintage printed rug over a solid natural rug for a mix of textures and aesthetics.
