The Big Idea Book was the first product I designed for our stationery line. I was sitting at my computer, looking at a blank screen, trying to pull something interesting out of my head and on to my (digital) piece of paper. I typed BIG in all caps and “idea book” in lowercase. It was one of those moments when such a simple idea translated to the product I was designing at the time. So when we launched our stationery line, I knew the product itself was more of a story than an actual notebook itself.
Today we’re launching an evergreen initiative called the #BigIdeaChallenge inspired by that moment. We’re inviting all types of big thinkers, from the scatterbrains to the go-getters, to the planners and dreamers to share their ideas and backstories with us so we can share their stories with you. Our team will be featuring one entrepreneur per month through the end of the year to help make these dreams a reality. A select few will be chosen by the W&D team, with the final winner chosen by YOU, via IG stories. Using the #BigIdeaChallenge we’re hoping to connect aspiring entrepreneurs with a community who will cheer on their dreams. I’ve had a chance to share my journey with you on W&D and I can’t wait to get inspired by our readers who are in the middle of making their own big ideas a reality. Our form allows for all you non-visual people to share a little bit about your journey and how you’re bravely facing those blank pages every day and charting your own personal path forward. This isn’t about “arriving” at your perfectly formed big idea, it is about supporting each other when we feel overwhelmed or unable to live up to the task at hand.

To kick off the challenge to the community, we’re giving away a couple Big Idea Books to get you started.
