My family spends a lot of time talking about footwear. I’m married to a “sneakerhead” who works for (you guessed it) a shoe company. He spends most of his time online seeped in industry news and following niche product launches, and has followed prolific designers and visions from Tinker Hatfield to Ronnie Fieg for decades now. I’ve always had a “thing” for shoes, but through Joe, I’ve come to truly appreciate both the legacy and innovation baked into what we put on our feet every day. It’s been really fun to find something we can both geek out about. So when a special package from Nike arrived last week, the first person I texted was Joe. He quickly gave the new Nike Air Max 270 the following review:

As someone who has fully embraced the athleisure aesthetic, I was thrilled to get my hands on these shoes. Not only would they be stylish, but comfortable and perfect for every day. I’m not the only one around the office that got excited by the release and colorway of the Nike Air Max. Our team got excited about the opportunity to take inspiration from the design Nike Air Max 270 to make our own little tribute to the legacy of Nike Air Max. Our creative duo Judith Marilyn and 2nd Truth embraced the color, the lightness, and comfort that is inherent to this shoe. Rather than wax on how comfortable and functional and how easy I can fold these shoes into my wardrobe, we went a little wild and showed off the pure STYLE of these shoes.

Maybe there’s something to be said about being excited about what goes on your feet, and the places it’ll take you. Maybe we stand a little taller and step a little lighter. That’s certainly what inspires us about the new Nike Air Max 270.
