I pour over Pinterest for kitchen inspo, whether I’m designing one of the studio kitchenette’s or daydreaming my life away and filing interior pins for my next dream home onto a little secret board. There is a lot to love in the design world right now, so I put together a list of design necessaries and a few images of all the lovely kitchen details I’m into lately. Thoughtful Storage

There is nothing better than thoughtful storage. I love this soft wooden shelving mixed with these black and white classic accents.

If you are feeling organized and presentable, I always love open shelving. When it is set up right it looks so beautiful.

But of course, having all the right organizational containers is key! I’m loving this mix-matched eclectic combo above.

I’ve always been into herringbone and honeycomb/hexagon wall tile. I’m drawn to these unique shapes that seem to give your kitchen that extra special dimension. I also like a fun and flirty, yet classic floor tile too.

I always make sure to mix in some of my favorite accessories or patterns into the kitchen. Let’s think bold or colorful rugs, vintage wallpaper, and eye-catching art. This will add a little flavor and pizzaz to the classic foundation you have established.

Gold and Brassy Detailing

Gold and brass accents have been having a moment for a while now, but I am still in love. A touch of brass or gold can up the ambiance in any space. Look to add in brass door handles or midcentury modern lighting to complete your polished look.

If you are looking to work in a few natural touches into the heart of your home – I always find the best timeless vintage pottery to add to my collection or charming wooden salt and pepper shakers while antiquing or thrifting. Pair these retro treasures with plants galore and your kitchen is sure to give off that natural vibe you’ve been hoping to achieve.
