I don’t want to come off sounding braggy, but I got this baby thing DOWN. The funny thing is, just as I became a pro at slinging bottles, diapering a baby with my eyes shut, and handling just about any poop/pee/puke situation imaginable, my babies turned to toddlers.
Literally.
It happened overnight a couple weeks ago. Bennett walked down the stairs, said “no,” and stared me down with the fire of a thousand suns. And all I did is ask if she wanted waffles for breakfast!
The past three years have been a chaotic swirl of survival and resourcefulness, all life skills that have bettered me as a person and friend. I will gladly bounce your babies and change them when you need a break. It will always take a village to mother mothers when their babies need everything they have left to give, so I put together a truly comprehensive list of all my favorite baby gear items for you, my dear readers. I hope it helps you navigate this phase of your life. Each recommendation holds little pieces of wisdom I kept from friends and family and strangers who helped me along the way. They are the products I came to depend on like they would hold our lives together, because sometimes it really seemed like they did!
All of these items will also be available to browse in our WD Loves section, so you can come back to them later or share with a friend who needs a little help selecting her armor for motherhood.
