Kate's Top 5 Skincare Products for Fighting Fine Lines and Dullness

Beauty

I’ve been getting a ton of questions about my skincare routine lately! To be fully transparent, one of the perks of my job is getting to try out new products, and my cabinet is full of amazing brands you’ve heard me talk about. (And be reassured, if it’s something I’m talking about on Instagram or on the site, it’s something I’ve truly tested and love.)

A reader recently asked me if I had to select only THREE things to use on my face at night, what would they be, and I thought it was a great question. I expanded upon the original ask ever so slightly, and the items in this post are the five skincare products I really feel like I couldn’t live without (because three just wasn’t quite enough!). I buy them as soon as I run out and feel they are the foundation to my healthier-looking complexion.

Before you purchase any of these items for yourself, here’s what you should know about my skin: It is dry and my biggest skincare issues are dullness and fine lines. My current morning and night skincare routines look like this (you can find details on all of the products below!):

Morning: I use an exfoliating cleanser followed by a vitamin C serum and a tinted sunscreen (I use this one).

Night: I use the exfoliating cleanser (twice at night for a double cleanse) followed by an exfoliating mask (2 times a week), then a vitamin A cream, and a moisturizer on top.

There you have it! If you have any questions, please comment below!

1

NeoCutis Exfoliating Skin Cleanser

$38

What’s really great about this product specifically, if you are beginning an anti-aging routine, is that it is a very gentle exfoliant—you barely even feel it working when you put it on. What it does is help remove any dullness that’s sitting at the top of your skin—it’s nice and light enough that you’re able to use it both in the morning and at night. And it has worked better than any other daily exfoliant or facewash I’ve used.

2

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum

$166

This is the crème de la crème of vitamin C serums. It has completely transformed my skin. I use it in the morning (and sometimes at night) and it really instantly brightens my face. I’ve seen the general tone of my skin improve and I saw results pretty much instantly once I started using it.

3

A313 Vitamin A Pommade

$30

This is a French low-percentage vitamin A cream. It helps give you an even complexion that addresses breakouts and redness. Right now I’m battling a consistent breakout around the sides of my nose and it’s the only thing that tempers the flare-ups.

4

EltaMD Barrier Renewal Complex

$50

This is one of the products my dermatologist recommended and I freaking love it. It does a great job of increasing the brightness of your skin, and I just glow after I put it on. It’s one of my favorite things to use at night. I rarely have dry patches anymore!

5

Pixi by Petra Peel & Polish

$24

I use this as my exfoliating mask twice a week. Whenever my skin is beginning to look a little dull, this helps make it bright, beautiful, and luminescent (and it smells great, too!). You can feel it working right when you apply it.

The vitamin A link is broken. Do you have another link?
