March was a month where I felt pushed to my limit creatively, emotionally, physically, and financially. All of the things! I’m reminded that when we feel this type of pressure, change is often just around the corner. Instead of resisting, I did my best to welcome it all. I also found that small moments of joy sprinkled throughout the month were a welcome distraction, whether in the form of a comfy nightgown, playful phone accessories, or the Jones Road Miracle Balm that made my skin look super dewy. Here’s hoping the month of April (and the arrival of spring) brings a lighter feeling to my life!
I bought this swimsuit before our family’s spring break trip to Arizona. I absolutely love it and so does Joe—he told me to buy it in any and all colors. (Not that I needed his opinion about how I look in it, but honestly, it always helps!) I love the quality of the construction and the short-sleeve silhouette. The cut makes me feel both covered and supported while still flattering my figure.
I first read this book last September, and I revisited it recently as it was my book club’s pick for March. It’s one of the most beautiful books I’ve read in quite a long time. It had me thinking about my relationship with my work and what success actually means to me. I would highly recommend reading this book if you haven’t yet.
At the end of this very long winter, my skin is quite dull and the Jones Road Miracle Balm is a game-changer! It’s so moisturizing and makes me look dewy and alive. I use it as both a blush on my cheeks and a balm on my lips. I have it in the color Flushed, a gorgeous cool pink.
I’ve had a lot of luck with the fit of H&M pants and this style is another winner. I even received a few compliments from strangers while wearing these recently. The silhouette of these pants—fitted around the waist and butt, with a wide leg—is quite flattering on my frame. I generally think cargo pants photograph a bit weird, so don’t judge them until you try them!
I purchased this nightgown on the recommendation of Courtney Grow. As with certain Amazon finds, this has the worst brand name and packaging ever. It was so bad I had to share it with my girlfriends. BUT, the nightgown itself is super cute and comfortable. What you do with this information is up to you!
This phone case was another Courtney Grow recommendation. I love the wave shape! It’s a great price and comes in seven color options. I added this beaded decoration from H&M to my phone recently too.
I ran out of moisturizer before we left for Arizona and went to the store to buy something. I bought this cream on the spot at the recommendation of the salesperson. It’s incredibly moisturizing and rich and it isn’t greasy at all. My skin has been so dry this winter—so much so that I’ve had a dry, flaky patch on my forehead for months. Once I started using this, the flaky patch disappeared. I truly love it.
