AHHHH… the classic conundrum of what to wear to that holiday party. Deciding what to wear to events like this requires a bit more planning, especially when first impressions are a factor. Perhaps it is at this party your co-workers may see a different side of you— the IRL you, shedding your business blazer to reveal something unexpected. Maybe you’re meeting your new love’s family for the first time… or you’re looking to find someone to slip under the mistletoe with. Regardless of the event, we are what we wear, even for just a moment.
If you’re anything like me, you kick yourself for waiting until the day of the event to fuss over what to wear. I’m trying to get better about this given the drama surrounding the process it takes to get out the door. In honor of my own procrastination tendencies, I pulled together my favorite pieces, accessories, and unexpected embellishments with you all in mind, hoping that you’ll find at least one thing that speaks to your individual style and expression.
Cheers to a season that advocates for an outfit made from head to toe sequins, no questions asked!

I love the pleated velvet skirt! It’s a great alternative to a tulle skirt during the holiday season.
