We’ve been using Schoolhouse products in our home and studio for years and it’s been a pleasure watching the brand develop and grow with time, now offering iconic lighting, beautiful furniture, and next-generation heirlooms. As Joe and I gear up for our home remodel, it’s no surprise I’m finding myself scouring their website for gems every second I get. If you, too, are looking to bring a bit of timeless retro beauty into your home, here’s an overview of our favorite products from Schoolhouse. You’ll have these pieces forever.
A timeless font that will catch the light beautifully. These Big House Numbers are quite large (7″ high with varying widths). I’m into the modern font which still works with just about any style of housing. It includes hardware to wall mount or address placard mount with mounting flush or with a subtle reveal that will cast a shadow on the facade of your home.
You can get these Schoolhouse Electric Originals in three finishes: Gold Anodized, Aluminum, and Black.
We own two of these pillows and have had them for almost four years now! What I love most about them is the quality. It might seem a little crazy to spend over $100 on a pillow, but they have held up to both style and constant wear and tear at both our house and studio. Given how many pillows I’ve had to replace since then, these are worth considering if your budget allows.
A good reminder for adults and kids alike. I love the idea of hanging this poster in a mudroom or entryway as a way of remembering to be your own hero, choose kindness and stay humble. This print is 20″ x 30″ and designed by Anthony Burrill, a UK-based designer that we’ve been following for years. This poster is one of his most famous sayings and has been around long enough to be considered a classic piece to bring into your home (at least in my book)!
We just brought the brass version of the Donna Pendant Light into our home and it is a GORGEOUS homage to high-end Italian design. The style comes in three finishes: Polished Aluminum (a stunning mirror-finish and completed with a protective clear coat), Gold Anodized and Black Anodized – an environmentally friendly electrochemical process that bonds the finish to the material. What is more? The pendant won’t need a lightbulb; the Donna comes with a special led bulb that is energy efficient and barely visible.
It’s really hard to find good-looking analog clocks these days. I’m a believer in leaving your phone out of reach when in bed, so having something like this cute Flip Clock is just what you’ll need to keep track of time without your phone taking over your mind during restful times.
HELLO, BEAUTIFUL! You no longer can complain about ugly ceiling fans. Let’s all thank Schoolhouse for making this lovely fixture. I love the combination of materials, sleek design, and non-intrusive profile. I want to get one of these in our sunroom!
A new way of thinking about housing your soap in the spaces you wash up. I love how they really live up to the “Schoolhouse” aspect of the brand with designs like this one. Takes me back to when I was in school… just a lot fancier.
I absolutely love the idea of adding one of these Wall-mounted Rolls to our home. We’re constantly writing notes to each other, leaving instructions, memos, reminders. It leaves you the opportunity to draw an impromptu piece of art, too.
I’ve lusted after this sofa since it first launched. I just wanted you to know, in case you are in the market. Please buy it so I can live vicariously through you.
It’s always exciting when two of your favorite brands team up. This throw is from the Ace & Jig collaboration and I love the bright and sunny colors. Most of our throws are neutral, so this one is inspiring me to spice things up a bit.
Did you know Schoolhouse has added more hardware options including doorknobs and deadbolts? All in gorgeous silhouettes for the modernist and traditionalist, and most come in a variety of finishes. Bookmark this page if you’re remodeling or building a home!

Don’t buy new stuff. Don’t be a mindless consumer. Kate, don’t promote consumption of all this material junk. You have kids right? Shop yard sales, Bauer Brothers, salvage house, etc. W and D promotes too much consumption.
