The month of August, with its warm, summery days and endless time spent outside, flew by in a flurry. I can barely believe that back-to-school season is here already, and with it the rush of acclimating to new schedules and routines, to new weather, to new clothes, and to a new way of life (this year especially).
Below are a couple of the things that brightened my days these past few weeks, from a cream that’s helped relieve my aches and pains (hello wallpaper removal!) to a cookbook that gives me ALL the wanderlust to a show I can’t stop watching. If there’s anything you’d like to recommend, whether it’s a recipe, a movie, a product, or something else entirely, I’d love to hear it in the comments.

I’ve been using the Equilibria Relief Cream on my tense back and hands. I have a pinched nerve and it’s brought some much-needed relief. Plus, I love the smell. (Use code “witanddelight” at checkout through the link below to get 15% off your order!)
Our Women on the Ground includes essays from Arab journalists that had me stopping often to think about the underrepresentation of the work these incredibly brave women are doing. Reading this book will shift your mindset to think about how one-sided stories can be and how important it is to hear the perspectives of people in different circumstances.

We have been having wifi issues in the new house, and after trying a few boosters designed to work with our router, I’m happy to say that Eero solved our issues! I have an extra-strong signal all the way in the basement now, and it’s easy to set up and manage on my phone.
This is a beautiful book that makes me want to escape to the remote island of Sardinia and just eat pasta and fresh tomatoes all day. The recipes are simple yet elevated enough to serve to guests. Buy on Bookshop.org!

Have you decorated with dried flowers before? They are surprisingly fragrant and oh so beautiful. I recently received some flowers and vases from Bloomist and loved the process of making my own dried bouquet. (Use code “DELIGHT15” at the link below for 15% off your order through 9/30!)

David Chang (a James Beard Award-winning chef) is a gift. This Netflix series follows him as he travels to culinary hotspots around the world. I love how this series documents the origins of food and cuisines and how it relates to everyday life.

My thoughts exactly!
Okay, I keep hearing about Bloomist and now that I know that they have dried flowers I’m definitely trying them out! My sad, dark bedroom will be so much happier I’m sure. Also like the Our Women On the Ground rec. Sounds really interesting, and I’ve been looking for something new to read soon.
Yes, I would wholly recommend Bloomist! Their dried flowers really do brighten up any space.
Great inspiration for our isolated coronavirus world.
