I spend a lot of my time trying new out new products, reading books, testing out cookbooks, and tinkering with different things that claim to make life easier, more streamlined, or more enjoyable. Today I’m sharing what came to the top of my mind when thinking about the products I tried and loved in 2020.
Maybe you’ve already done your holiday shopping and have a bit of money left over to treat yourself. Or maybe you’re shopping for someone who seems to have everything. Or maybe you just want to peruse through this list and save something for later. Either way, I hope these suggestions bring you, or someone you love, a little bit of joy and ease this season and beyond.
This was my favorite book of the year. It combined research, science, and what felt like advice from friends into a book that not only made me feel seen and heard but also provided a way to break out of my own cycle of burnout.
I love my Uniqlo bras, but when I want less padding and extra support, I reach for this bra from CUUP. It’s high quality and stands up to heavy wear day after day.
Low-fi enjoyment with all the trappings of Bluetooth and built-in speakers. This record player is beautiful, useful, and has replaced my reliance on Alexa for musical needs. If you watch my Instagram Stories you’ll notice I almost always have music playing in our home, and this is its source.
Samin Nosrat is the celebrity I would freak out over if I ran into her at the airport. I love learning her cooking techniques and feel like I’m improving each time I revisit this book. I’ll have and use it for decades to come.
You’ve heard me mention this candle multiple times before, and there’s a reason for it. It had me at first scent. This is my favorite smelling candle at a killer price. I order it in bulk!
This Etsy shop is a direct way to purchase block print textiles straight from India. The textiles require a good washing when they arrive, but the colors are amazing and they get softer with each wash. I love the wide range of bright colors and pattern they have available for purchase!
This mascara gives me fantastic volume and texture. It’s easily my favorite drugstore-priced mascara out there.
Gone are the days of getting tangled up and covered in food while using a hand blender. I love that this blender has a flat surface to set it down, and requires ZERO cord. It holds a charge for what feels like forever!
My favorite bathtime ritual includes dry brushing before the shower and applying my moisture stone afterward. From opening the bamboo container to placing the stone back in its cheesecloth wrap, the ritual is self-care in its purest form.
I slathered this oil on my face right before I sat down to write this post. It smells amazing, goes on light, and provides a gentle and soothing effect as the CBD-infused oil sinks into your skin. I only wish it came in a bigger bottle.
This is my friendly timer that helps me get started with the tasks I need to accomplish in a day. All you do is turn the cube to the time you’d like to set and the timer automatically begins. It’s about as easy as it gets and is a dream for ADHD folks like me who have often found themselves setting a timer on their phone only to realize twenty minutes later they’ve been scrolling through Instagram… (Sound familiar?)
The house shoe of all house shoes. Part slipper, part shoe, and thankfully, back in style. I’ve worn these every single day since I got them in the spring.
You’ve heard me mention this robe before too, and that’s because it’s a go-to piece of my at-home wardrobe. I have a number of robes in rotation and this is the one I find myself grabbing most often. The name says it all—it feels like you’re wearing a warm, cozy cloud. Plus, it washes beautifully.
