What could take the sting out of missing vacation? A full seven days at home. Like didn’t-even-leave-the-house-to-go-to-the-office-to-work home. It was unexpected, but glorious. I kept busy with things I miss when living out of a hotel: cooking dinner, being close to friends for impromptu dinner parties, my own bed.

Well it’s Monday morning, and you guessed it, back to the skies. I always pack for an early Tuesday departure the night before. (Turns out you forget things like pants when you pack at 4am.) This time I’m testing out the very same bag that I was lusting after a few weeks ago, remember? 

I’m thrilled to see how light it is. Lots of great pockets to stay organized, which is a big step up from the black box I’m been dragging around for a year. Big enough to hold everything I need for 3 days of travel (comfortably) but small enough to fit in an overhead compartment (actual testing to be conducted tomorrow afternoon!). I’m most excited about the charger. Without fail, every time I travel, one of my devices wasn’t charged fully. Game changer.
