We’re going to Arizona this weekend for spring break with the kids! The only big thing on the agenda is to relax and enjoy the sun—something all of us are desperately craving.
I’ve been working on my Arizona packing list all week leading up to our trip. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite pieces I’m bringing with me. The items below represent a smattering of staples I can easily mix and match throughout our trip. Packing pieces that are versatile enough to wear multiple times is always the way to go.
This dress will work great over a swimsuit or paired with a hat and sneakers. It is also one that will allow me to indulge at mealtime as much as I want without having to worry about feeling bloated in my outfit. I’ll likely be bringing this pretty Mille dress as an option too (pictured a few photos below)!
I prefer wide-leg shorts these days as I find that they look more flattering on my figure. They’re also a very versatile style that can easily be paired with tank tops, button-down shirts, and sweaters. I ordered these shorts recently and know they will be a great staple on this trip and well beyond.
I’m packing a vintage blue crewneck sweater for this trip. I love this similar option from Everlane too. I’ll wear it over my sundress in the mornings or with a white t-shirt underneath, tucked into shorts.
I’m packing a vintage white button-down shirt. The one pictured here from Sézane is a very similar style. I’ll tuck this into vintage Levi’s 501 jeans and will also wear it over my swimsuit!
These go with everything and make any outfit feel “finished” without much effort. I’ve been wearing them all the time lately!
I bought this H&M tote bag to carry all sorts of things my kids or I might need while exploring. The bag I purchased is currently out of stock, but I love the bag pictured above as well!
These shoes go with everything!! Joe gave them to me for Christmas and they are perfect. The style I have is currently available in limited sizes, but I love this option too.
A note on comfort: I found that they were uncomfortable for the first hour or two of wear and then they molded to my feet in the best way.

Great post! Arizona has some unique weather conditions, so having a packing list like this is super helpful. I love the versatility of the pieces you’ve chosen, especially the denim jacket and the comfy sneakers. It’s also great to see sustainable and eco-friendly options included in the list. I’ll definitely keep this post in mind when planning my own Arizona trip. Thanks for sharing!

I’m so glad you found this helpful!
Hi Kate, I was inspired by you to get the Mille Saffron dress. Do you dry clean it? I’m having trouble finding instructions for how to launder it. Thanks!
I hand wash it and then leave it to air dry!
I especially like the denim jacket and the cozy sneakers because of how versatile they are. The list’s inclusion of environmentally friendly and sustainable choices is also fantastic.
I’m happy to hear you liked these picks!
