It’s official, folks. We’re less than one month out from Christmas, and only a few days from Thanksgiving. The holidays are upon us. While people will be celebrating different holidays in the coming weeks, one thing remains true across the board: This time of year is a time for togetherness. It’s a time to get together with the ones we love, whether that be our family or our closest friends, our coworkers or our beloved pets. It’s a time for hosting large holiday feasts and impromptu weeknight dinners alike. It’s a time to remind those we love why we love them; to cozy up inside around dinner tables and hearths and trees lit up from top to bottom.
Next month, I’ll be hosting my entire family at our home. And while I’m excited to welcome my family in for Christmas, there’s also the accompanying list of to-dos that always seems to accumulate before everyone steps foot in our door. There are final decorations to put up and items to buy to ensure that we’re ready for dinners around the table, lazy morning brunches, and cozy evenings spent in front of the fire with homemade cookies and a glass of wine (or two).
Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite holiday decor and entertaining items to help get your home holiday ready. Do you have any products items you’d recommend for the job? I’d love to hear them in the comments!
I try to ensure that most of the holiday decor we bring into our home is a somewhat neutral tone (my personal preference!). This velvet tree skirt is a beautiful base for any tree, and I love these wooden ornaments—both this set of five or this handcrafted starburst ornament—for decorating its branches.
When it comes to entertaining over the holidays, I like to rely on place settings we already have on hand, mixed with a few extra pieces that make the table shine. This footed bowl works well for candy on a coffee table or as a bread bowl at dinner. These cocktail glasses are perfect for predinner drinks! And, I mean, the bottle stopper? It’s a downright delight.
Whenever I’m hosting (and in the winter months especially), I want to make sure my home is a cozy, inviting place for folks to spend time. These beautiful velvet pillows and super soft blanket are great to have on hand, and I love the warm glow that this table lamp casts!
I love these burnt gold velvet stockings, which we have hanging above our fireplace this year (see photo above for proof!). This wreath is a beautiful option to hang on your front door to greet guests, and you can mix these wood cone trees into your existing mantel decor or tablescape.
A record player for music that helps set the mood, a print by yours truly that will add a touch of color during the holiday season and beyond, and a wall-mounted paper holder where you can write out the oven/meal schedule and avoid all the sharing-a-kitchen stress.

That brass bowl is what I want to buy. Love your picks!
Great accessories and a very tasteful decoration. Perhaps the ambience can be enhanced further by a Turkish towel throw over the leather sofabed…
