There are a lot of things I miss these days, but browsing flea markets, thrift stores, and antique stores has to be the activity my heart aches for the most. Nothing really can replace the thrill of the hunt, but I’m finding new ways to quench my thirst, thanks to Etsy.
I’m on the app daily, saving bits and bobs from shops in the U.S. and abroad and have realized that if I know what to search for, I can find treasures through more strategic searches. It certainly can’t replace all that I love about hunting for gems in person, but it satisfies the itch for now.
Here are my seven favorite Etsy shops to browse for home decor, clothing, and more!
If you’re looking for ways to support secondhand retailers in your community, keep in mind that many shops are selling items by way of Instagram and Facebook right now. A few of my favorite local vintage shops are hunt & gather, Tandem Vintage, carousel + folk, and SouthSide Vintage.
Brass House Shop
This shop has a great mix of mid-century modern furniture and one-of-a-kind decor pieces. You can find some really incredible statement pieces here.
Persephone Vintage
This is the coolest vintage shop for women’s clothing. I love the way the owner styles each piece. The shop is expertly curated and updated with new inventory often.
Manon and Rose
Based in Versailles, you can browse beautiful vintage antiques from France while lounging on the sofa in your sweatpants. And given that most of us won’t be traveling for a while, now would be a good time to pay for shipping instead and support this small business!
Jan’s Vintage Stuff
If you’re looking for distressed objects with a story, this is the shop for you. I’ve been eyeing this olive jug for months. I need to pull the trigger!
White Elephant Co.
This shop has all the quirk you miss from getting lost in a vintage store. There’s tons of personality in the products and a lot of inventory to browse.
Danish Home
This shop has a fabulous selection of Danish antiques from names like Le Klint, Royal Copenhagen, Jo Hammerborg, Stig Lindberg, and more.
Vintage Kilim
Shop a huge assortment of Turkish rugs directly from the source. They are very responsive via direct message and willing to work with you on price!

Thank you for this piece. I think it’s important to also point out that many Thrift shops/consignments shops have moved to using Facebook/Instagram platforms to showcase their goods. Many are offering no-contact pick-ups at the shops so if you can and want to look into your local favorites and support them too!

I remember when I was in grade school, we have a lot of antics furniture at home. I’m trying to find out where I can buy these, I’m glad to know that it’s just available on etsy.
